Justin McGinley Trainer

Justin McGinley

Owner and Head Trainer

Justin is a Level 1 certified CrossFit Trainer, with additional certifications in CrossFit Basic Barbell and CrossFit Movement and Mobilty. He loves the simplicity and effectiveness of the program. “We take useful movements, heavy weights, sprints, body weight circuits and Olympic lifting, constantly vary the weights, the reps, the length of workouts, and the movements, and we do them as hard as we can.” He feels the best way to improve someone’s overall fitness is to practice their weaknesses, and encourages clients to “make their weaknesses their strengths.”

Justin is CrossFit Aspire’s nutrition consultant. He can (and will) talk about food all day long. Justin enjoys working with people to improve their diets in a way that is enjoyable, easy, sustainable and effective.

Her favorite part of CrossFit is “its ability to give people confidence in themselves, no matter their age, size, or ability. I love being able to share victories with members of the gym, and to see how the camaraderie and sense of accomplishment carries over into their personal and professional lives.”

Alycia’s role at the gym is to cultivate a group of healthy and happy athletes who enjoy coming to work out. In addition to Member Services, Alycia offers mobility, fitness and nutrition advice to members.

He loves how CrossFit can help everyone. ”I love going to the gym and seeing high school and college age athletes doing the same workout as men and women twice their age and knowing that they are all getting the best programming available. The best part of CrossFit is helping people do things they never thought possible for them.” Jason uses his eye for movement and technique to help our athletes achieve and exceed their goals.

Beth Walker Trainer

Beth Walker

Trainer

Beth is a Level 1 certified CrossFit Trainer. A former competitive swimmer, Beth spent years trying to motivate herself to work out and spent many hours in aerobics classes and on the treadmill. It wasn’t until starting CrossFit in 2008 that she discovered something that would motivate her to get to the gym four days a week. “I love the camaraderie, the competitiveness, and the community found in CrossFit boxes. I started going with a friend when I used to live in VA, and I saw my body change in drastic ways. But, more than that, I discovered a method of training that inspires confidence in people, helping them achieve goals in fitness they never thought possible.” Beth joined CrossFit Aspire in June of 2010 after an extended hiatus from CrossFit brought on by moving and having a baby. “When my daughter was four months old, I decided I wanted to get back into shape. I knew CrossFit would keep me motivated and get me strong! It is my desire to live a healthy and active life, and CrossFit gives me the tools to do that.”

Beth loves seeing new people come into the gym and improve their strength with every WOD. It is her instinct to coach people in the gym or in life in general, so getting certified was a natural step! “It is great to work out somewhere where people greet you when you come in the door, know your name, and will ask you where you are if you have missed a few days!” Beth’s favorite workout is “Filthy Fifty,” and her favorite lift is the push press.

I have never ever enjoyed lifting and working out like I do now, I look forward to working out every day. I love the community and competitiveness. I do things in CrossFit I never thought I could.” She loves to help people and finds coaching CrossFit to be extremely rewarding.

Alex Carrese Trainer

Alex Carrese

Trainer

Alex is a Level 1 certified CrossFit Trainer. He is a former football, baseball, and lacrosse player and currently is aspiring to be in medical school in the upcoming fall. After constantly doing the same power lifting routines mixed in with long periods spent on cardio machines, he knew that it was time for a change in his life. After hearing about CrossFit through multiple family members and friends he first tried CrossFit in January 2011. After the first initial workout, he was instantly hooked. “Never before did I feel such a burn in my lungs even hours after the workout. I instantly knew that this would be the best form of fitness to get into great shape. Performing any type of squat was always a struggle and now I look forward to any day that it is programmed.”

Since then he routinely attends four classes per week with the same excitement as the first day. He has always loved to compete and finds that it is most fulfilling when challenge yourself to do better. “I always enjoy working out in a group because I push myself that much harder. However, my mentality is to do the best that I can do and encourage others to do the same. It is never a competition with someone else in the gym, it is a personal thing that I love striving for.” Currently, his favor lifts are the Olympic ones and his favorite benchmark workout is Grace.
